ANBERLIN & COPELAND Showcase@ The Glass Pavilion, Far East Square, 3rd June 07.
COPELAND:

Copeland's set was sensational, haunting, timeless, and I was thankful for every minute that I was there then. It's heartbreaking yet so soothing to finally see/hear
Aaron Marsh sing the words that have helped me through so many sleepless nights and tired sighs. When he sang, I couldn't comprehend the surge of emotions his voice had evoked in me. And I didn't want to, for they washed over me in a strangely beautiful amalgamation of feelings of melancholy, loneliness, longing, happiness, comfort and consolation.
Copeland's
Control Freak. (Yes front row!) :)
ANBERLIN:

Anberlin, on the other hand, whipped up a torrential moshing storm when
Stephen Christian belted out their 1st song,
A Whisper and A Clamour. You could see how pleasantly surprised the band was at our fervent enthusiasm, which in turn infected them with wilder energy on stage. Every note was played to perfect precision by the two guitarists -
Deon &
Christian- coupled with ear-deafening pounding by (supposedly hot) drummer
Nathan.
The crowd completely lost it when they played
Godspeed. Everybody was pushing everybody in every direction possible, some girl snapped my necklace, and I lost my phone in that sea of crazy people! But that's okay cause some kind soul recovered it for me after the gig. All in all though, the guys truly gave a kick-ass performance!
You Have My Attention.I got to meet Aaron Marsh! You would think the popularity of his status as an artist would get to him, but he's just so nice and humble and down-to-earth. That goes for Anberlin's Stephen as well. I penned down something for him.(Stephen) It wasn't some crazy fanmail, I talked about life, love, hope. And I managed to pass it to him. :)
I shall continue and blog about their secret show tomorrow! :D
