Day 4
We visited the ruins of Whitby Abbey today. Fans of Bram Stoker who had read Dracula would know that this place was mentioned in the book, the area where Lucy got bitten. It felt weird standing on these (consecrated) grounds, considering the fact that they`re centuries old.

I don`t know why, but the place was exceptionally cold. Though on a brighter note, the surrounding views were honestly, quite breath-taking.

We then headed to Stratford. Had lunch at one of the cafes littered along the harbor, which by the way was beautiful! In the evening we went to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to catch a performance of Romeo & Juliet.

The play lasted for 3 hours. It was pretty good, if not a wee bit draggy, and Romeo could have done better. After the play, we took a 2mile walk back to the hostel in the freezing weather. It was a pleasant surprise when once I stopped and looked up, for the stars were out in full force, prickling the velvety night sky with glimmer and making it look so pretty!
Day 5:
We arrived at Stratford-Upon-Avon and were whizzed to William Shakespeare`s Birthplace & Exhibition. Then the whole afternoon was spent shopping at Henley Street. Dorothy Perkins was having a sale, so us girls literally stomped in and came out; hands fumbling with loads of shopping bags heh. And why is there no H&M in Singapore! Bought a sweet-looking bikini for my sister`s birthday present from there.

I felt guilty after shopping for about 4 hours- I blew about 100pounds. (you need to triple it in terms of Singapore dollars) So two of my girlfriends and I decided to pass the time by renting a boat and taking it down the river.

Turns out we can`t row for nuts initially, and we had all the white people laughing at us. Oh well, at least we were better than the guys, who kept crashing into the banks haha.

I got the hang of it after a while but Sarah didn`t trust me enough and kept freaking out, which totally cracked me up. But overall the boat ride was damn fun.
Sarah`s the one who`s talking the whole time in the video, her words are quite hilarious eh? Lol. And in case you were wondering, we did NOT crash into the riverbank. =)
Okay more about the trip another day!
