Change of plans. Instead of going to Ngee Ann Civic Plaza to attend Get The Funk Out, we headed to Clarke Quay for Mardi Gras:

Clarke Quay underwent a major revamp recently. It looked like someone gave it a facelift because it is so awesome now; a far cry from its past, dingy boring outlook. Here.
This was taken opposite of CQ, at Riverside. The music booming could be heard loud and clear right across the river.
The main stage area. Outdoor parties always rock more. :)
Eeeek! A creepy tall monster! Ok bad joke. He was on silts.Oh oh look at the background. someone's sitting the G-Max (reverse bungee)! neatt.
I wanted to see the much hyped about MoS, so we went there and took a peek:

I quote JUICE, "MoS- The Singapore club will be the biggest MoS club world wide and will feature a modern design housing different music concepts engineered with the best of audio systems, providing acoustic excellence together with ambient surroundings where clubbers will be treated to an all-encompassing audio-visual experience."
And you wonder why the queue is so long. it stretched on for a mile ok! anyway i bumped into the guy from Ronin there. He looked good for an albino. (eh eh no discrimination intended)
Ah. Crazy Horse. 1st club in S'pore to officially introduce topless dancing here. Not seedy-looking at all right?! In fact, it looks super classy-As you can see from the ceiling inside; lots of crystal chandeliers.
The bar next to G-Max. Me and Gloria wanted to go for it but remembered we were wearing skirts which weren't exactly long. Damn.
Forbbiden City (Indochine). I guess this is the best-looking club? And which I also believe houses the best-looking crowd. I mean, the girls going in and coming out from there are so ridiculously pretty!
Okok. Back to the party. It was quite a spectacular sight. There were salsa dancers(super hot), street performers and percussionists.
The crowd having a blast and excitedly anticipating the countdown.
Their outrageous costumes were so amazing. and oh look, party hats! so funky. i also wannt.
her expression. classic la. hahaha. she was supposed to look sexy darn.
Speakers were everywhere. The sound system was ballistic. You could feel the beat in your bones man.
I tried to snatch the torch away but failed. lol.
And it was NEW YEAR!! woohoo. There were also the dazzling magnificent display of fireworks at the stroke of midnight to usher in a brand new 12 months but sadly, no pictures cuz I was so in awe of it that it slipped my mind-to take photos. heh.
Ahh. now the real party had started! ooo i see people wearing helmets, do you? LMAO.
it's the monster again! it looks harmless now heh. and what a sweetie to pose for the camera. gracias! -blows kisses-
Foam party woots! Ok not really since all the foam kept evaporating. Rotfl.
They had smoke machines. awesomee. The people there could bust some moves man. all that hip-gyrating, all that sweat. woah hott. And this is where I stopped all that photo-taking. C'mon, a girl's gotta dance! ;)
Oh before I forget, you know how I was always bumping into Masashi from Pug Jelly(now known as Saw Loser)? Well this time I met SAM!! He was super duper hot I tell ya:
Tee hee hee. Then his gf came along. Picture a young Alyssa Milano. Yeah that'll be her. Damn pretty.
Last Words:
We kept getting attacked by random people with foam sprays but it was all in the name of fun so, yeap. Gosh even now as I'm typing, Mardi Gras at Clarke Quay still have my memory buzzing, adrenaline pumping and ears ringing. Wow.
